Search Strategies
My search for information began with some of the most popular search engines such as yahoo and google. These search engines provide many faucets of information, as well as being very easy to use for students. I also explored other search methods such as dogpile, which I believe offers the best diversity with information by mixing up websites on the search list.

Copyright
Awareness and Learning
After reviewing the materials covered under copyright, I now have a better understanding of copyright and education. Although I know many educators violate infringement rights, I believe its important to do the best we can to keep from it. We wouldnt want anyone else stealing our stuff and making money from it. The fair use policy gives the teacher a pretty good understanding of what they can and cannot do with materials. The one thing I see that could be improved is posting the fair use policy in schools so teachers will have direct access.
Exploration & Filtration
I discovered a website that covers myths about copyright laws in the United States. It clears up common misunderstandings about the law, here is the address http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html
Application
If I attain a job in education, I will be sure to review the fair use guidelines before making copies of any materials for my students in accordance with the law.
Reflection
After reviewing the materials on copyright, I believe the one thing lacking is teacher knowledge of the fair use guidelines, They should be posted in every lounge and library, and anywhere near a copy machine
Online Communication
Awareness: Electronic communication plays a vital role in the realm of education and instruction, as well as cooperation between students and team members, it is usually vital in every role to participate in communication in order to achieve goals and or assignments. It makes it easier for people to work together when they are not physical together. It also offers the users the opportunity to review work and build onto progress in projects.
Explore/Filter: While participating in this class, im using wiki spaces to construct a portfolio site of my work, it offers the class the opportunity to explore each others work and to provide guidance and comparison if you have questions.
Learning & Application: I have created a wiki space to present and submit my work via the web. This was my first experience with a wike space and I believe it is a nice change over the typical drop box submission from d2l in which it allows you to view your classmombers work. It also could be used to critique each others work. I have learned that you can add and remove pages as well as create pages using a photoshop editor and then adding them to your wikispace to make it look better. You can also add video and auido to better demonstrate items on your wiki space.
